Vision for the Future

Ultimately my aim with Bodhimaya, as well as teaching, is to create a permanent space that can help people, animals, the community and the world find peace and happiness.

I would like to show people what can be done on a small scale to help each other, animals and the Earth, by modelling a better way, and helping people learn how to show up in the world with loving kindness.

I want to create a space where I can show people how to find peace within themselves and learn how to be peaceful in their environment.

This will not be an organisation or an ashram. There will be no guru or specific path or religion in this space. The space will belong to the earth and to the animals that live there. Any humans there would be serving each other, the animals and environment, or learning how to.

We will rescue animals, re-wild the space, hold retreats and educational workshops - for paying guests, and also for those who can’t pay. There will be a special focus on the elderly and children, especially those who are deaf, blind or who suffer with other physical or learning challenges.

The idea is to create a sanctuary where humans interact with each other, animals and nature in the spirit of loving kindness.

I will teach and invite others to share their wisdom, but this space would be a place where all concepts, ideas and beliefs yield to the silence of the trees, the welfare of the animals, the care of the land and loving kindness.

I look forward to sharing more with you soon,

Cornelius
